Objective:
Each year, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health receives proposals from service-providers for inclusion of new medical procedures in the BMG catalogue of procedures as a prerequisite for reimbursement. The aim of this project is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of these procedures. Themes (interventions) were prioritized by the Ministry of Health and contracted out to the LBI-HTA.

Method:
The assessments are based on systematic reviews for each procedure and a summary of the scientific evidence according to the GRADE scheme.
