Ethics is ubiquitous nowadays and plays an import role in the discussion on biomedical sciences what is illustrated by establishing national ethics committees. But what are the conclusions for technology assessment if biomedical matters are discussed according to ethical categories and these committees give advice to politicians? The lecture will focus on this question.
