Point of Care Tests (POCT): D-Dimer und Troponin. Update 2024
Point of Care Tests (POCTs) für Troponin (Tn) und D-Dimer ermöglichen eine schnelle Diagnostik in der Nähe von Patient*innen. Tn-POCTs werden bei Verdacht auf akutes Koronarsyndrom (ACS) und D-Dimer-POCTs bei Verdacht auf venöse Thromboembolie (VTE) eingesetzt.
Ziel dieses Berichts ist es, den klinischen Nutzen der beiden Point-of-Care Diagnostika D-Dimer und Troponin in der Primärversorgung zu evaluieren.

Die Rolle öffentlicher Beiträge zur Entwicklung von Gesundheitsinnovationen
Neue (pharmazeutische) Produkte werden immer teurer. Als Folge dieses Trends werden Arzneimittel immer weniger zugänglich. Doch nicht alle Innovationen können privaten Unternehmen zugeschrieben werden. Infolgedessen wird die Rolle öffentlicher Einrichtungen wie Universitäten, Universitätsausgründungen und öffentlich finanzierte Biotech-Start-ups bei den Preisverhandlungen weitgehend außer Acht gelassen. Öffentliche Zuwendungen in Form von Forschungszuschüssen, Steueranreizen, Nutzung der klinischen Infrastruktur oder regulatorischen Maßnahmen leisten einen großen Beitrag.

Register in Österreich und deren Verwendung zur Verbesserung der Gesundheitsversorgung
Register sind organisierte Systeme in denen Beobachtungsdaten von Patient*innen in einer Datenbank gesammelt werden. Diese können von Entscheidungsträger*innen zur Verbesserung der Gesundheitsversorgung genutzt werden. Die Zahl und Art von vorhandenen Registern in Österreich sind jedoch unbekannt. Das Ziel dieses Berichts war es einen Überblick der österreichischen Registerlandschaft zu geben, sowie die Qualität und Charakteristika von einer Auswahl von Registern darzustellen. Zudem sollten die Nutzung österreichischer Register und Bereiche mit Weiterentwicklungsbedarf aufgezeigt werden.
