Health navigators are trained professionals who help people access the healthcare system and act as low-threshold points of contact. The aim of these programmes is to lower barriers to access and promote prevention, thereby increasing health equity. As part of the project, the AIHTA is systematically examining experiences and outcomes (reach, areas of responsibility, activities initiated) from health navigator projects aimed at people with a migration background.
