Since January 2025, the European HTA Regulation (HTAR) has been implemented. The AIHTA plays a key role in contributing scientific expertise, coordinating national activities, and representing Austria at the international level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Committee work: Participation in the HTA Coordination Group, as well as the JCA, EHT, and Methods Subgroups; ongoing coordination with national institutions.
- Training and evaluation: Participation in the EU HTA training programme; preparation of the Member State Report (deadline: January 2027) for the evaluation of the EU HTA Regulation (to be completed by January 2028).
