Chronic wounds are associated with a substantial disease burden, prolonged care pathways, and numerous treatment encounters. Integrated Digital Wound Management Systems (IDWMS) are designed to improve documentation, progress monitoring, and information exchange, while also enabling telemedical care.
AHITA has been commissioned to assess the evidence on the clinical effectiveness and safety of IDWMS. In addition, the requirements, barriers, and implementation options for Austria will be systematically examined, and an outline for an evaluation concept will be developed. The ASSESS-DHT framework will serve as the reference framework for this work.
