Andrea Fried has been responsible for science communication at AIHTA since August 2025.
She has many years of experience as a freelance journalist (Austria Press Agency, Der Standard, ÄrzteWoche) and as editor-in-chief of the Austrian Hospital Newspaper (ÖKZ). She then served as managing director of ARGE Selbsthilfe Österreich and the Austrian League for Child and Youth Health. Most recently, she was responsible for a wide range of communication tasks at Gesundheit Österreich GmbH.
